     Back then around 7000 BC Mesopotamia was an ancient civilization with a different lifestyle. Mesopotamians lived in a spread out area along rivers. The environment was an aired landscape with plentiful resources along the rivers. They also traded many kinds of supplies with a variety of people. During that time they had deathly wars that come with harsh consequences. Back then it was a fight for survival. It was hard enough making and scavenging for supplies while risking men trying to protect the city from harm.

   

      First off, Mesopotamia was located in what is now Iraq. According to ducksters.com, Mesopotamia is in the country of Asia, between the Tigris and Euphrates river. In google earth it states that the center of Mesopotamia is 32 degrees North latitude and 42 degrees East longitude. The name Mesopotamia means land between two rivers.
    

     Back then and still today, the environment/landscape in Mesopotamia is in a desert. Along the Tigris and Euphrates river is called the Fertile Crescent. According to ducksters.com, the land is fertile, wet, and is full with wildlife. Some examples of wildlife are sheep, goats, and pigs. The climate affected the Mesopotamians in a good way. Eyewitness Books Mesopotamia says that since the land was fertile they could grow crops to feed people and also raise animals. With the resource of water, the Mesopotamians invented irrigation to help the crops. Some of the crops that they grew were wheat and barley.
    

      In the past, Mesopotamia traded with different civilizations and locations. As stated in The British Museum, people in Mesopotamia traded with neighboring countries, local trade, and foreign cities. Some of the cities were Babylon, Assyria, and Egypt .The people would trade basically anywhere even with the cities next to them. The Mesopotamians traded supplies that was plentiful and traded resources for what they needed. According to ancientmesopotamians.com, they exported grain, and wine to various places. They imported timber, different rocks, wool, and oil. The Mesopotamians exported supplies that were plentiful to them to trade for resources that they didn't have. The people of Mesopotamia had many ways to travel. As stated in Eyewitness Books Mesopotamia, they traveled by sleds, chariots, wooden boats, and by riding on different animals. The Mesopotamians were the first people to invent the wheel. This invention was important to travel because they could travel quicker and easier.


     Mesopotamia was a civilization at war with others. As stated in mr.donn's they were warlike and were very fierce when it came to battle. When it came to war, you would not want to be involved because of all the violence. The Mesopotamians battled with people around them. In the website Ars Bellica the Mesopotamians battled the Babylonians, Sumerians, Akkadians, and Assyrians. They fought with dominance and large armies so they could win.The Mesopotamians fought others for many reasons. According to Eyewitnesses Books Mesopotamia, they fought to gain land and to steal resources that they didn't have. When civilizations gained land it would put them in danger because they were vulnerable to be attacked with spread out armies. When the Mesopotamians went to war they risked a lot of things but then could gain things as well. As said in ducksters.com, when they won in battle they would gain land and wealth which would mostly be given to the king. If they would lose in battle, the deaths of people would be many. So going to war would be risky for the Mesopotamians because they would risk their army and land. On the other hand they could gain wealth and land.

 

    During the time of Mesopotamia there were different techniques and supplies used. Mesopotamia was an area spread out by rivers. The environment is a mix of aired in some places and more lush in others. They also had supplies to export and import they needed. Lastly, there was a deadly risk but also rewards for going into battle. Mesopotamia was a very detailed and big civilization with much more to be discovered.
